January class makes

Hello my crafty friends

I nearly forgot to share the other two projects we made at class earlier in the month. You have already seen (in earlier posts) the Valentines Day card made with Heart Happiness and the Anniversary or Wedding card made with the Petal Palette stamp sets.

Here are all four projects.
The other two cards showcase Sale-a-bration (SAB) stamp sets. For those who haven't heard of SAB and to be honest I hadn't heard about it before joining Stampin' Up! In a nutshell, from 3 January to the end of March each year SU offer a range of amazing products that can be earned for FREE, yes for FREE, with a qualifying order - how great is that! Click here to look at what's on offer at the moment.

The card below on the left is the one I designed for class. My samples were given away, as two of my ladies didn't have enough time to make it themselves! The one on the right uses other stamps from the Happy Wishes set which is a new level 2 SAB set but otherwise is the same.

The card base is Calypso Coral. A Very Vanilla panel is stamped with Early Expresso Classic Stampin' Ink and the tiny flowers coloured using Subtle Stampin' Write Markers. A small piece of Gold Foil Sheet was punched each end with the Triple Banner Punch then cut it in half  and glued to the back of the panel. The gorgeous Gold 3/8" Metallic Edged Ribbon and Pearl Basic Jewels add a perfect finishing touch.

The final project uses Lots of Lavender another SAB set. The card base is Elegant Eggplant with texture added with the Petal Burst Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Both stamped Whisper White panels are layered on Lemon Lime Twist and die cut withLots of Labels and Layering Ovals Framelits. A Delicate White Doilie and Linen Thread add the finishing touches.

More Petal Palette Suite

Happy Sunday Crafters!

I wanted to come on today to share more of the cards I've made using the lovely Petal Palette bundle from Stampin' Up!  With 15 stamps and 10 dies in the bundle - you get a lot of bang for your buck! I've used the die cut's below - aren't they are pretty!

Below are two cards that use some of the Petal Passion Designer Series Paper as background. All the designs in the pack are black and white but its easy to change the look by simply adding colour - as you can see .....

The background on the next card is made using the Layered Leaves Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder as I thought it went really well with the floral images.

This next card is CASed from one of the make and takes from our #OnStage2017 event in November.

The next card is clean and simple (just my style). I simply coloured the DSP using Rich Razzleberry Stampin' Blends Combo Pack, Old Olive Stampin' Blends Combo Pack and some of the Subtles Stampin' Write Markers - I think it turned out lovely. I couldn't bear to cover it up so simply added a strip of Basic Black cardstock with the sentiment heat embossed in Silver Stampin' Emboss Powder. To finish it off I added two Enamel Shapes and Glitter & Clear Epoxy Shapes.

I've made a short video to show the products I've purchased. Full details of everything in the Suite can be found on page 23 of the Spring / Summer Occasions catalogue.

I've fallen in love with the new Stampin' Up! Petal Palette bundle

Hello crafters

It's Sunday again, I hope you've had a good week.

I'm bringing you another card we made at class the other week made using the gorgeous new Petal Palette Clear-Mount Bundle from the Stampin' Up! Spring / Summer Occasions Catalogue.

The card base is half a sheet of A4 Pool Party Cardstock scored at 10.5cm. The Old Olive layer is cut at 12.6 x 8.5cm to leave a slightly larger border than usual and the Whisper White layer is cut slightly smaller to leave a thin green border. Pool Party Classic Stampin' Pad creates texture around the edge of the base using one of the stamps from the set. Whenever possible I die cut elements from matting layers and for this card the foliage is cut from the Old Olive layer. The sentiment is stamped in Versamark on a scrap of Basic Black, heat embossed with White Stampin' Emboss Powder and die cut using one of the Layering Circle Framelits. The flowers are stamped on the white matting layer, the two birds on a scrap of Whisper White in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and coloured using Watercolor Pencils. The birds are die cut with the matching framelits.  Multi purpose glue and dimensionals are used to attach the various elements to the card.

The inside is stamped with second generation Old Olive Classic Ink and the sentiment in Memento ink and I think finishes of the card beautifully (even if I say so myself!).

This is my work surface as I got ready to start videoing.

You can follow the tutorial below.

I have more lovely cards to share with you in the coming days and weeks.

Stampin' Up! - Heart Happiness #1

It's Sunday evening and it's been another busy week. I hope you managed to find time for a little creativity!

I'm blessed to have met some really lovely ladies through Stampin' Up! and some have become regulars at my monthly classes. We make three or four cards using lovely SU products. Some ladies follow my samples exactly and others are inspired to design their own versions, which is wonderful.

For January 2018, I designed four cards: a birthday, a thank you, an engagement, wedding or anniversary and lastly a Valentine's Day card.

I will share them all with you over the coming days / weeks either here or on my Facebook page (@LynnieCDesigns) - check out the sneak peek I posted yesterday?

Here are two versions of the monochromatic Valentine's Day card made using the new Heart Happiness photopolymer stamp set. The dapper denim version is for my husband! He won't read this so I can share it with you.  To show how quick and easy it is to make, I filmed a calypso coral version - check out my latest video tutorial below. The sentiments are from one of my new favourite sets from the new Occasions Catalogue (I know I say that a lot!) the gorgeous Petal Palette clear mount stamp set.

As with most of my cards, the base is half a sheet of A4 scored down the middle. The whisper white layer is cut 0.5cm smaller to show a small border. Each card uses one colour of ink and matching card stock. I do love clean and simple cards especially when they can be made using minimal supplies.

Do you have a favourite?

I got to play this weekend!

Hey crafty friends

I feel so blessed, as I got to play with the amazing new Stamparatus from Stampin' Up! this weekend.

My lovely friend and upline, Victoria McLafferty, was on the Leader to Leader team (a group of SU employees and demonstrators that volunteer and collaborate on the development of new products) and the team got to order this new stamp positioning tool before everyone else. Anyway, Victoria go hers delivered just before the New Year and she let me take hers home to have a play. I've ordered one but have to wait for delivery next month!

So this is the card I created after my first play. I've used one of the new Sale-a-bration stamp sets Beautiful Peacock.

I'm rather pleased with the way it turned out. I used Tranquil Tide, Tempting Turquoise and Whisper White cardstock with Tranquil Tide and Tempting Turquoise ink. Stitched Shapes Framelits create the frames around the peacock and small sentiment. Both sentiments are heat embossed in Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder. Gold sequins add a bit of blimg!

I made a quick video - I'm out of practice so its full of waffle - I mean FULL! Anyway, I hope you'll learn a little about this new amazing tool.

This stamp set is lovely. It is one of the products that can be earned free with an order of £45 or more. Here's another card I made using Elegant Eggplant and Melon Mambo. I've got lots of other ideas but as usual didn't have enough time to do more crafting!

Happy New Year!

Hello

I know it's been a while - there seems to have been one thing after another. I caught a bug, lost my voice and then got distracted making Christmas card and trying to gather enthusiasm for the festive season.

Tonight I decided to do a "quick" post to share some photo's of recent projects and I've been sitting here trying to remember the projects we made a class in December as I didn't have any photo's.  I know there was a Christmas cracker made using the Envelope Punch Board and a 6" x 6" piece of DSP but I gave the one I made to one of my god-daughter's for Christmas without taking a photo! Then it came to me and here it is:-

Using one 12" x 12 " sheet of DSP we made 4 note cards with envelopes and a little gift box to put them in. It is not very easy (for me) to explain how it's made, I will do a video but have not gotten round to it yet - technical difficulties with my phone, lighting, you name it ... it's gone wrong!

This is one of my favourite Christmas cards. A bridge card that I made at my lovely up-lines class. These types of cards are called U-fold or Bridge cards and give a real wow but fold flat so can be posted.

Today is an important day for us at Stampin' Up! with the launch of a new Occasions Catalogue and the start of Sale-A-Bration. If you don't have a demonstrator and live in the UK please get in touch as I would be happy to send you a catalogue.
