Bike Ride from Stampin' Up!

Hi friends

Today, I'm sharing a fun card made using the lovely Bike Ride stamp set and Build a Bike Framelits. Didn't it turn out great.
The bike is stamped on Whisper White cardstock with Black Memento, Pool Party and smoky slate inks. There are lots of options with this set but I decided to put the wicker basket on the back with flowers and the trio of sunflowers in the basket on the front. The card base is Powder Pink cardstock and the background of clouds was created with Embossing Paste and Dazzling Diamonds Glitter and one of the Party Pattern Decorative Masks on Pool Party cardstock, while the ground is made with Crumb Cake classic ink on Very Vanilla cardstock and one of the stamps from the Timeless Textures stamp set.  The bike is added with dimensionals to give a bit of depth.
A matching basket was added to the inside to tie it in - which is really cute. Rather than stamp and die cut the pieces like the front, I decided to stamp directly on the card. I had to do some masking as the flowers hang over the basket but that was so quick and easy to do and now I have masks for next time I wnat to use this set.

Pretty Kitty is so cute!!

Happy Sunday my friends

I hope you have had a good week? My hubby and I had a couple of days away in our new caravan. We absolutely love camping but decided  to upgrade from our little camper and drive away awning and are thrilled with our purchase. We can't wait to get away in it again.

My lovely friend Christine lent me Bella & Friends and Pretty Kitty stamp sets. I've shared a couple of the cards I made with Bella & Friends last week and today's card is made with Pretty Kitty and one of the lovely new colours Highland Heather.
I also made the one using some of the retired Petal Passion DSP and Powder Pink cardstock.
Here they are together. I loved using the tailored tag punch to create these cards. I'm so glad I purchased it - I very nearly didn't.
I meant to do my video before we went away but ran out of time so had to film it today. It's a bit rough round the edges (what's new I hear you cry!). Leave a comment if you can spot what I did wrong? I only saw it when doing the editing but managed to save the card after the video finished!

Masculine cards!

Hi folks

Today I'm sharing a few recent makes for two of the special men in my life. I often struggle with ideas for masculine cards (female cards are much easier) so I'm pleased with these.

The first is the birthday card I made for my lovely Dad, who celebrated his birthday earlier in the month. The card was inspired by some I found on Pinterest and uses the Tailored Tag Punch to create a background. I thought it worked perfectly with the Wood Textures DSP.  The Large Letters Framelits make it easy to add the word DAD to the card on a banner stamped with the Hardwood stamp. The sentiment is from the stamp set included in the Soft Sayings Card Kit and is heat embossed with clear emboss powder.
I made the next two cards for my Dad and Father-in-law for Father's day using crumb cake, very vanilla and early espresso card stock. I think the colours work really well with the copper foil to add that special touch..
I had to think outside the box for the dad and step dad! I use letters from the "celebrate" die. I'm rather chuffed with the way they turned out.
