Card Sketch inspiration

Happy Wednesday!

Today I'm sharing another card made with products from the Garden Impressions Suite. I just can't help myself!!

The inspiration is a card sketch challenge from the very talented Dawn Griffiths' aka Dawn's Stamping Thoughts. It is Card Sketch #41.
The card base is Night of Navy. A panel of whisper white cut @ 10cm x 14.4cm is embossed in the amazing Tufted Dynamic embossing folder (love it!). Two pieces of of the Garden Impressions DSP, one cut @ 5cm x 15cm creates the banner and the other cut @ 6cm x 9.5cm for the piece on the right. Using the Layering Circle framelits a Night of Navy scalloped circle and a slightly smaller whisper white circle is die cut and layered. The sentiment is stamped in Night of Navy ink and the two step flowers stamped in Blushing Bride and Melon Mambo. Glitter Enamel dots (retired) add the finishing touch to those flowers.  Here's a close up - so pretty!
If you’d like to purchase any of the items I've used simply click on the photos below to go to my Stampin’ Up On-line store, or click here for a general browse and I would love to be your demonstrator.

As always, thanks for popping by.

Waterfront stamp set - Thank you card

Hello my friends

It's a wet and windy Sunday here in the UK - come back sunshine, all is forgiven!!  The weekend started off great with friends coming over for supper on Friday night. I made everything from scratch including some guacamole, salsa and sour cream and chive dips - I impressed myself as I'm no cook.  I took my parents out for lunch yesterday to The Black Rabbit in Arundel. It's always lovely spending time with my folks, we are very close and I cherish the time we spend together.

I'm a little late posting today as I got distracted but in a good way! I spent this morning, after walking the dog, cleaning and re-organising my craft space. It's no longer organised chaos but clean and serene, For how long is anyone's guess hehe!!

Today's scenic thank you card is made with the versatile Waterfront stamp set and the Seaside embossing folder. I love the artistic feel to this stamp set and am really excited to create more cards and home decor items with it.

The card uses the same products as one of the cards at my August card classes which you can see later in this post but this one only uses Pacific Point and Whisper White cardstock. I love adding texture to my cards and this embossing folder with all its wavy lines is fantastic.
Pacific Point cardstock cut @ 14.9cm x 21cm and scored @ 10.5cm creates a top folding A6 landscape base. Two pieces of whisper white cardstock cut @ 10cm x 14.4cm are used; one to be embossed in the Seaside embossing folder. and the second for inside the card. Pacific Point and Whisper White cardstock cut @ 7.5cm x 10cm is used for the Island scene and the sentiment.
I know I've mentioned before how much I love the Stitched Shapes Framelits and really do use them on almost every card.  Although I used Stampin' Write Markers for the palm trees, I've listed the ink pads below.
Here's the card we made at class. The embossed layer is Coastal Cabana - one of my new favourite colours and there's a piece of Crumb Cake too. The sentiment is from the Beautiful Day stamp set.
You can watch a video of how easily the card came together on my YouTube channel and by clicking below.
If you’d like to purchase any of the items used simply click on any links in this post or any of the photos below to go to my Stampin’ Up On-line store, or click here for a general browse

Garden Impressions Suite

Hello again

One of the things Stampin' Up! does well is product co-ordination, which makes it easy and fun for us crafters (and demonstrators) to be creative. I often struggled before I found Stampin' Up! to buy matching cardstock, ink and embellishments but that isn't a problem for me now because the range of co-ordinating products available from Stampin' Up! is amazing.

Today I'm coming on to share another card made with products in the Garden Impressions Suite, which you can find on p.128-130 of the annual catalogue. I'm so happy with this card - I think it's really pretty.
It's the first time I've used the new Big Shot Embossing Mats which increases the versatility of all the framelits, thinlits and edgelits dies we have in our craft rooms. I very nearly didn't add the strip of pretty designer series paper because it covers too much of the embossed image on the pacific point layer. Can you see it?

If you’d like to purchase any of the items used simply click on the photos below to go straight to Stampin’ Up On-line store

I'll be back again soon with another card using this Suite. If you live in the uk and don't have a demonstrator please get in touch as I'd love to help you find your creativity.

As always, thanks for popping by.

Can Designer Series Paper steal the show?

On Sunday I showed you a couple of cards made with the new Abstract Impressions stamp set. Today I wanted to share another card made with one of the sentiments from the set . On this card I  used some of the beautiful Garden Impressions 6" x 6" (15.2cm x 15.cm) Designer Series Paper to create a striking background. As with all our DSP it is double sided and for me really does steal the show!
I've listed all the supplies used below. It was so quick and easy to put all the elements together. I even added a couple of strips of DSP to the inside of the card.
If you’d like to purchase any of the items simply click on the photos below and to go straight to my Stampin’ Up On-line store.
