Butterfly Gala watercolour rainbow

Thanks for joining me today for a quick share.

I loved making this card pretty card with the lovely Butterfly Gala bundle. The card base is Daffodil Delight. The rainbow background was created with an aqua painter on watercolour paper using Real Red, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Pacific Point and Highland Heather re-inkers. I'm doing more watercolouring as it's outside my comfort zone. The sentiment from Beautiful You was stamped in Stazon. The butterflies were stamped in Versamark ink onto Vellum card stock, heat embossed with gold emboss powder and punched with the Butterfly Duet punch.
Here's a close up of the inside - I only stamped the little butterfly from the duo which is really easy to do and creates a cute border.

Stampin' Up! OnStage event in Telford

Hello my crafty friends

I was lucky enough to attend the Stampin' Up! #OnStage2019 in Telford on Saturday. There were over 680 demonstrators getting a sneak peek at the new 2019-20 annual catalogue and some amazing new products plus a bit of crafting.

I went on my own as my upline Victoria had family commitments, which was a bit daunting as I'm a bit shy really. My first challenge was finding a seat (most tables were full by the time I had registered or seats saved for team members) but some lovely demonstrators from Northern Ireland were happy for me to join them and were so welcoming. It was so good to make new friends and reconnect with some that I'd met over the years.

Some very brave and talented demonstators gave presentations on stage through the course of the day to share wonderful projects they had made with new products. They all did brilliantly, sharing their creativity and inspiring us.

One of the things I love about these events is the swapping.  It's optional but I love making projects and swapping with other demonstrators. Here are the card front swaps I made.
I stamped the leaves and flowers using the Tropical Chic stamp set - which is carrying over to the new catalogue - woo hoo! The Stamparatus made the stamping much quicker and a template for the flower was essential to stamp 150 of them! I added texture to the whisper white layers after stamping the leaves with the Subtle embossing folder (my new fav) and made my own shimmer spray using some rubbing alcohol and a drop of Frost White Shimmer Paint. It doesn't show but the background and flowers sparkle SO much!! The sentiment was heat embossed in white. Basic rhinestone and irridescent sequins add the finishing touches.

I get a lot of inspiration from the swaps I receive and love showing them off at my classes. I'm still having technical issues but will try to put together a quick slideshow of all the amazing swaps I received.

Country Floral Embossing Folder by Stampin' Up!

Hello there

I haven't shared much on here or my YouTube channel so far this year - pleae forgive me?

Today I'm sharing three cards made featuring the Country Florial Embossing Folder, which was one of the Sale-A-Bration 2019 items and will be carrying over into the new annual catalogue - I love adding textured to cards and this folder is SO pretty.

The first card was one from my March card classes. The base is Flirty Flamingo and the colour added to the embossed whisper white layer (Highland Heather, Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo and Mint Macaron) with daubers. The sentiment (from Happy Birthday Gorgeous) is stamped on a scrap of whisper white and punched out with the Pretty Label punch. This was then added with dimensionals over a piece of White 5/8" Flax Ribbon. Basic Rhinestones add the finishing touch.
This next card is a monochromatic Sympathy Card (always hard to make). The base is Soft Sea Foam and ink added directly onto the "flat" side of the embossing folder before the Whisper White was added and run through the Big Shot. One of the Rectangle Stitched Framelits was used to cut the sentiment from the Lasting Lily SAB 2019 set (no longer available) on a piece of whisper white. The organza ribbon used is also retired!
Below is a close up of the card I gave my parents for their 57th wedding anniversary. The base is Island Indigo (retired), the embossed layer whisper white, the sentiment from Petal Palette heat embossed in white and added to a silver glimmer paper using Layering Squares and Stitched Shapes Framelits. A tiny bow is silver ribbon (retired). Basic rhinestones and clear faceted gems add the finishing touch.
It was Mother's Day here in the UK last Sunday. Below is the mini wreath and matching card I gave my lovely Mum. Made with the Daisy and Leaf punches, Pop of Petals and Jar of Love stamp sets and one of the Bouquet Bunch framelits. Colours are Gorgeous Grape, Granny Apply Green, Old Olive.
