New Wonders

Hello there and welcome to my blog,

Today I'm sharing a couple of girlie cards made with a hostess set called New Wonders.

The first card is from my December class. The base is Seaside Spray. with a layer in the same colour embossed with the Subtle 3D folder.  I stamped the image on Whisper White with Memento Black and coloured with Blends Markers. I love the Stitched Nested Labels dies so used them to cut out the image and sentiment and popped both up with dimensionals. I.added a piece of Highland Heather DSP and some pretty lace trim across the middle of the card to finish it off.
The next card has a Thick Whisper White base. The Calypso Coral matt layer is sprayed with a homemade shimmer paint and is so sparkly! I used one of the Stitched So Sweetly dies to cut an aperture. I stamped the images in Memento Black and fussy cut them after colouring with blends. I even stamped a few extra leaves to add more greenery to the card. Iridescent sequins add the finishing touch. I'm really happy with the way it turned out.

December Class makes

Hello there

I'm late sharing the projects from my classes in December but hope you'll indulge me as this blog helps me keep an online record of all our makes.
I forgot to take a photo of the 21st birthday card before I gave it to a friend for her son, so the image below is my mock up. The actual card was on a smoky slate base cut @ 6" x 6". The balloons are from a retired hostess set but the rest of the card was stamped using Family Party. On the card itself I used Smoky Slate and silver embossing powder and coloured the baloons with Stampin' Blends. (I'm kicking myself that I don't have a photo!).
The next card was CASEd from page 85 of the annual catalogue - if I'm stuck for ideas, I often find inspiration in the catalogue.
The card base is thick Very Vanilla card with a very vanilla matt layer cut slightly smaller. That was embossed with the Layered Leaves embossing folder and sprayed with homemade shimmer spray. It doesn't show in the photo but it's so sparkly! I stamped the flowers from the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set in Terracotta Tile and Crushed Curry ink. The leaves were die cut from scraps of Garden Green, Old Olive and Pear Pizzazz. The arrangement is stuck to a Stitched Rectangle. The sentiment is stamped in Soft Suede and punched with the Everyday Label Punch. Stitched Rectangle dies. The bow is made from 3/16" Braided Linen Trim. All the products used are listed below.

The next card is so pretty (well I think so) it is made with Seaside Spray and whisper white card stock. The matt layer is embossed with the Subtle embossing folder. The strip of DSP is from the Brights Designer Series Pack and the Scalloped Lace trim. Happy to detailed instruction if anyone is interested.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!

I know the festive season is over but I wanted to share the projects we made at my November classes
The card below is fairly simple with a tone on tone background, a bit of colouring and fussy cutting and a bit of gold and bling
I kept the inside simple just like the front.
This next is a fancy fold on the inside so the outside has an embossed background and a cute santa focal
The inside is a pile of presents, that pop out - inspired from Pinteresr
I love, love, love this next card with its sponged nighy sky, the die cut santa and sleigh silhouette flying across a snowy landscape and fussy cut trees.
The last project was a simple desk calendar using up some of my stash of retired DSP.

Because I can't resist sharing, here's a photo of our Bailey. He's now 5 months old and has a cheeky personality, He has been taking up most of my time recently.
Don't be fooled by the photo, he is still a wee little thing as you can see below. He is such a little poser!
