Brightly Gleaming DSP, Poinsettia Petals and Ornate Layers

Hello - welcome to my blog

I'm back to share two Christmas cards featuring some of the beautiful Brightly Gleaming specialty designer series paper. It's a returning favourite from last Christmas - there are 12 sheets of 12" x 12" paper; 2 of 6 double sided and one side has gorgeous copper foil accents.

I used two of Ornate Layers dies; sentiments from the Poinsettia Petals stamp set and a couple of the dies from the co-ordinating Poinsettia Dies. At the moment you can buy Poinsettia Petals as a bundle and save 10%. I forgot the Copper Emboss powder has retired, which is really sad!

Card 1:

Cut Pretty Peacock card @ 14.8cm x 21cm and scored @
Cut Brightly Gleaming Specialty DSP @ 10cm x 14.3cm and glue to the front of the card base
Cut Very Vanilla card @ 10cm x 14.3cm
Cut the larger label in Pretty Peacock card using Ornate Layers die
Stamp Merry Christmas in Versamark on Very Vanilla, heat emboss in copper (retired) and cut label using Ornate Layers die and glue to larger label before adding to base with dimensionals
Cut 2 x sprigs in Copper foil and add behind labels with mini glue dots
Cut 6 x Very Vanilla and 2 x Pretty Peacock small flowers with Poinsettia dies
Glue flower pieces together and add around the labels with dimensionals
Glue copper sequins (retired) to centre of the flowers
Stamp sentiment from Pointsettia Petals in Pretty Peacock on Very Vanilla and glue to inside.

Look how lovely that foil accent is and how much detail you get with those lovely dies.

For the card below, the sentiment is from Wrapped in Christmas - it is made in the same way as above except the larger label is cut from Night of Navy card.

Christmas cards with Peace & Joy by Stampin' Up!

Hello - welcome to my blog,

I'm back with a three more cards I created with the fabulous Peace & Joy bundle. I really love Coastal Cabana it is such a gorgeous bright colour.

Card 1:-

Cut Coastal Cabana card @ 10.5 cm x 29.7 cm and score @ 14.8 cm.
Cut Whisper White @ 10.2 cm x 14.5 cm and glue to inside
Create a tone on tone background with Coastal Cabana ink using Peace & Joy.
Cut Basic Gray @ 5 cm x 14.8 cm; emboss with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder and glue across the middle of the card.
Cut Soft Sea Foam card @ 7 cm x 10. 5 cm and glue on the Night of Navy piece.
Using the Stamparatus stamp Bright, Joy and Peace in Coastal Cabana on Whisper White die cuts using a template and glue Bright to the Soft Sea Foam piece.
Stamp Merry and And in Coastal Cabana on Whisper White, fussy cut and glue above Bright.
Stamp the holly in Granny Apple Green and the berries in Poppy Parade on Whisper White, fussy cut and glue to card with a mini dimensional.
Use Wink of Stella on the berries and holly.

Card 2:-

Cut Coastal Cabana card @ 10.5 cm x 29.7 cm and score @ 14.8 cm.
Cut Whisper White card @ 10.2 cm x 14.5 cm and glue to inside.
Create a tone on tone background with Coastal Cabana ink using Peace & Joy.
Cut Basic Gray card @ 5 cm x 12.5 cm; emboss using the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder and glue across the middle of the card.
Cut Soft Sea Foam card @ 8 cm x 10.5 cm; emboss using the Pinewood Planks 3D embossing folder and add to the Basic Gray piece with dimensionals.
Add a Forever Gold Laser Cut element to top left and top right corners.
Die cut Joy from Coastal Cabana and glue to a Whisper White die cut and add to a Coastal Cabana die cut with dimensionals and glue to Soft Sea Foam layer.
The Whisper White layer was left over from an earlier project. The aperture was cut with one of the Stitched So Sweetly dies.
Stamp To The World in Coastal Cabana on white, cut out and glue.
Stamp the holly in Granny Apple Green on Whisper White, fussy cut and glue to card. Add retired red adhesive backed epoxy drops.

Card 3:-

Cut Coastal Cabana card @ 10.5 cm x 29.7 cm and score @ 14.8 cm.
Cut Whisper White card @ 10.2 cm x 14.5 cm and glue to inside.
Create a tone on tone background with Coastal Cabana ink using Peace & Joy.
Cut Basic Gray card @ 5 cm x 12 cm and glue across the middle of the card.
Cut Soft Sea Foam card @ 9 cm x 10.5 cm; emboss using the Pinewood Planks 3D embossing folder and glue over the Basic Gray piece.
Glue Peace and Joy to the Soft Sea Foam piece.
Stamp And in Coastal Cabana on Whisper White, fussy cut and glue between the words.
Stamp the holly in Granny Apple Green and the berries in Poppy Parade on Whisper White, fussy cut and glue to card with a mini dimensional.

Christmas cards using Peace & Joy Bundle by Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog

I had a fantastic time last weekend at our annual OnStage event with more than 10,000 other demonstrators from around the world. Due to Covid it had to be a virtual event and while I missed getting to meet up with friends old and new in person, one of the advantages was being able to attend in my pjs from the comfort of my own home!

This week I've been making a few Christmas cards using some amazing products from the August to December 2020 mini catalogue and today I'm sharing two of the cards I made using the Peace & Joy Bundle. What do you think?

Card 1:-

Cut Pretty Peacock card @ 10.5 cm x 29.7 cm and score @ 14.8 cm.
Cut Very Vanilla @ 10.2 cm x 14.5 cm and glue to inside
Create a tone on tone background with Pretty Peacock ink using Peace & Joy.
Cut Night of Navy @ 5 cm x 14.8 cm; emboss with the Dainty Diamonds 3D embossing folder and glue across the middle of the card.
Cut Just Jade card @ 7 cm x 10. 5 cm; emboss using the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder and glue on the Night of Navy piece.
Using the Stamparatus stamp Bright, Joy and Peace in Pretty Peacock on Very Vanilla die cuts using a template and glue Bright to the Just Jade piece.
Stamp Merry and And in Pretty Peacock on Very Vanilla, fussy cut and glue above Bright.
Stamp the holly in Mossy Meadow and the berries in Cherry Cobbler on Very Vanilla, fussy cut and glue to card with a mini dimensional.
Use Wink of Stella on the berries and holly.

Card 2:-

Cut Pretty Peacock card @ 10.5 cm x 29.7 cm and score @ 14.8 cm.
Cut Very Vanilla card @ 10.2 cm x 14.5 cm and glue to inside.
Create a tone on tone background with Pretty Peacock ink using Peace & Joy.
Cut Night of Navy card @ 5 cm x 12.5 cm; emboss using the Dainty Diamonds 3D embossing folder and glue across the middle of the card.
