60 and Still Fabulous!!

Hello and welcome to my blog,

Today, I'm sharing a card that I made last month for a friend. I love being asked to make special cards for friends and family who want to send a handmade card.

I was asked to make a large card for a friends 60th birthday and used a shop bought white card base measuring 20cm x 20cm or 7 7/8" x 7 7/8" and am delighted with the way this turned out - luckily so did my friend! It's a little wonky but that seems to be my trade mark LOL!!
Products used

Stamps:  Fancy Phrases
Dies:  Layering Circles, Large numbers (retired), Playful Alphabet, Butterfly Beauty
Paper:   White card base, Blackberry Bliss, Oh So Ombre dsp, White Glimmer paper (retired)
Ink:    Blackberry Bliss
Accessories & adhesives:  Basic Pearls, Foam Adhesive Sheets, Dimensionals, Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I started by stamping the large floral image from Fancy Phrases in BlackBerry Bliss ink around the edge of the base. I then layered a 6" x 6" piece of Oh So Ombre dsp (FREE during Sale-a-bration until end February 2021) on to a piece of BlackBerry Bliss card cut @ 6⅛" x 6⅛" and added to the card base with lots of dimensionals. I wanted loads of sparkle so used  White Glimmer paper from my stash to cut the large numbers and the largest scalloped circle from the Layering Circles Dies. The words are made with the Playful Alphabet dies but before I cut them out I added Foam Adhesive Sheets to the back of the glimmer paper to give the letters dimension. I cut a Blackberry Bliss circle for the number panel using the largest Layering Circles Die, glued the numbers to it and added to the scalloped circle then onto the panel with dimensionals. The butterflies are also cut from BlackBerry Bliss card using one of the large dies from the Butterfly Beauty - I trimmed them apart and glued to the base. As a final touch I added a basic pearl to each.

I've listed below all the current products used so simply click on the photo to go to my Stampin’ Up On-line store. Remember to use the current Host code (top right of my blog) if your order is between £25 and £150 to get a handmade card and FREE gift from me.

As always, thanks for stopping by and remember keep it crafty.
