Stampin' Up! Gilded Leafing and True Love DSP

Hello and welcome to my blog,

Today, I'm sharing two cards featuring the fabulous Gilded Leafing from Stampin' Up!  I really love this new (to me) product.
I started with a piece of Melon Mango card cut @ 10 cm x 14.3 cm that I found in my stash from June 2019!!!!  I really am a collector LOL.  That's when I learned how to make my own Shimmer Spray - click here to see how.  Anyway back to this project! I added strips of tear and tape at an angle to the pink card and trimmed off the extra with my paper snips.
I next removed the backing to reveal the sticky.
Then simply added the Gilded Leafing to cover the sticky strips.
Using a clean sponge (or brush)  take off the excess.  Be prepared to get messy! The effect is stunning, well I think so anyway!
To get the two cards I trimmed the card into two pieces.

To make the card bases, I cut a sheet of thick whisper white into two pieces. Using Melon Mango and Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends, I coloured and then fussy cut flowers from a sheet of True Love DSP. For the first card I stamped the sentiment in Versamark on a scrap of white and heat embossed in gold before using one of the labels from the Floral Gallery dies. The smaller of the two gilded pieces is added to the base with dimensionals and the flowers glued along the top edge. The sentiment label is also popped up with dimensionals. Gold Gilded Gems add a final touch. Simple and elegant.
On the second card I stamped the sentiment in Versamark directly onto the base and heat embossed in gold. The Gilded piece is added to the base with dimensionals and the flowers again glued along the top edge. Gold Gilded Gems add an elegant final touch.
I love how they come out. If you live in the UK and don't already have a demonstrator, I would be happy to send you a catalogue and if you’re interested in buying any of the products used just click on the photos below to go to my Stampin’ Up! on-line store.
